Regular Circus Starr supporter, Chris Doddington, has decided to start an epic fundraising challenge for our community interest company!
The 35 year old is an Aerial Installer and has been donating to Circus Starr for a number of years via his business Doddington Aerials.
Now he has decided to go the extra mile and fundraise by attempting the Ironman UK challenge. This requires contestants to complete a 2.4-mile swim, 110-mile bike ride and finishes with a 26.2-mile marathon.
Chris explains how he is feeling about the event on his JustGiving page.
“It’s a tough one for even the fittest of people… but I’m going to give it my best shot!”
He chose to support Circus Starr after his partner experienced a difficult pregnancy.
“We are so lucky to have two beautiful and healthy children but our journey was not an easy one to begin with.”
“Having been so close to potentially needing the help of Circus Starr, I have been donating to them every year since our boys birth. Now I want to do more. I want to try and raise more money. So more children can enjoy things that they offer. They are doing a great thing for families of disabled children.”
We are so grateful that Chris has chosen to raise funds for Circus Starr! Our fundraiser, Stephanie, speaks to him every year when he makes his usual contribution.
“I think what he is doing is wonderful! All of us at Circus Starr are wishing him the best of luck on his challenge and are so thankful for his support!”
Chris has also encouraged other people to contribute to our social enterprise.
“Please get involved with helping more families enjoy the Circus Starr shows.”
